Attracted by an environment that values creators’ “authorship” : Designer

Hello everyone, this is Haru, a recruiting and public relations intern.
The cold air is finally becoming noticeable.
In this season of delicious food, I would like to make it my goal to eat everything named “tsukimi” this fall. ……
Now, this is the 18th interview with a Cocone employee.
For this interview, we spoke with Mr. Fukatsu, a 3D designer!
Q1. Please tell us about your current job.
We are working on 3D design for ” Pokepia,” an avatar dress-up application currently in service.
I am mainly in charge of the “stars,” which are the non-character backgrounds.
Other efforts include human resource development for 3D designers.
Q2. Why did you join Cocone?
Influenced by my wife, I too like cute things, and when I learned about Cocone, where I could use my own 3D skills to give shape to “cute,” I became interested.
After that, I felt that the individuality and creativity of each designer was very important, as evidenced by the “brand” approach of ” Pokecolo and this was a major deciding factor in my decision to join the company.
For someone like me who has built up a career to a certain degree, an environment where I can work for a long time while making use of my skills is very attractive.
Cocone’s ability to operate one service for the long term and its awareness of the importance of the people who work there, including the gym and deli, made it a very ideal company for us.

Q3. Please tell us about each of the most rewarding and difficult aspects of your job!
The most rewarding part is that what we have created with our colleagues is delivered immediately to the customer and we can receive real-time reactions to it.
As for hard work, the first premise is that “work is hard” and rather “it is dangerous when it is not hard!” We believe that “work is hard” and “it is dangerous when it is not hard!
If I had to venture a guess, I would say that it is necessary to constantly pursue new forms of expression.
In addition to reaching out to areas outside of one’s own strengths, we also involve others and have fun cooperating with them to give shape to the project.
It is not a simple task, as it requires not only design skills, but also the ability to think of others and communicate with them.
Q4: How do you feel you have grown since you joined the company?
Since the environment is always demanding new things, I wonder if staying at Cocone is in itself a growth experience.
Perhaps everyone who belongs to this company thinks so.
For me personally, I believe that I can only achieve results at work by growing, so I think my communication skills have improved in order to share my strengths with those around me, as we are required to constantly learn from each other and move forward.
We also hold bi-weekly team study sessions as part of our human resource development efforts.
I feel that my ability to look at my peers and convey something to them has been especially nurtured over the past year, as I am always on the sending side.

Q5. What does “sensitivity” mean to you?
For me, “sensitivity” means “authorship.
The colors, words, tones, atmosphere, and mood that can only be produced by that person, and the uniqueness formed by the stories that each individual has experienced.
We believe that a work of art can have the richness and power to appeal to people’s hearts and minds only when it contains the roots of “what kind of life it came from” and the feelings and intentions of its creator.
For example, there has been a lot of talk recently about AI being able to produce excellent quality pictures in a short time, but that is only a “good picture” and cannot be a “good picture” with a story.
In an age when the advent of AI has made everyone involved in manufacturing ask the question, “Why do we make things? I believe that Cocone’s great strength lies in its ability to use its “sensibility” as a weapon.
Q6. Finally, do you have a message for those who are currently considering joining the company?
Cocone is often referred to as a “gentle and warm company,” and I feel that the most wonderful part is that everyone works with the awareness of preserving that atmosphere.
One of the attractions of this company is that as a company we support each other’s challenges and have a rigorous spirit of friendly competition on a daily basis in order to have a positive impact on society and deliver better products to our customers. If you have a spirit of challenge and a goal to grow, this is the perfect environment for you.
Specifically speaking, we are currently focusing on creating global content based on blockchain technology and NFT market operational experience.
We hope that those who are attracted to “creating content that reaches the world using new technologies” will especially consider joining our company.

AI and manufacturing” is a major ongoing topic.
What can be achieved by AI will continue to increase dramatically in the future.
However, I believe that there will continue to be many things that can only be moved by people.
Cocone believes in the power of human “sensitivity.
I am very much looking forward to the future and how it will further come to fruition!
Cocone is currently recruiting people to work with us!
