Cocone has introduced the ” cocone my time / my day ” system.
This is a program that allows people to spend Wednesdays freely for their families and themselves, allowing them to visit crowded facilities, spend more time with their families, or use the day off to focus on their own duties.

This time, we would like to introduce ” Designer Talk,” a voluntary study session for designers held in conjunction with cocone my time / my day.

The participants give presentations and engage in discussions on a variety of topics, and after the meeting closes, everyone eats lunch together to deepen exchanges, a meaningful way to spend time that goes beyond deepening insight.

We immediately spoke to the person in charge.

A place to share knowledge and exchange ideas

The in-house study group started last fall.
The purpose is to base up design skills by sharing their findings with everyone.
Since each service team at Cocone is divided into different teams, the Design Management Office (*), a cross-divisional organization of designers, and the Human Resources Department have taken the lead in organizing the monthly meetings to provide a place for designers to interact with each other. The meeting is held once or twice a month.
*Design Management Office: We develop and implement tools for designers to increase the productivity of the business and to improve the health of the organization.

What is Designer Talk?

Once or twice a month on Wednesdays, for about an hour.
After the event, a lunch meeting will be held with participants.
The style of the study group is for one speaker to give a presentation on a single topic.
Questions may be solicited from participants in advance.
On the day of the event, the speakers will present their presentations, showing slides and actual operation screens, and there will be time for Q&A at the end.
Non-designers are also welcome to attend.

In addition, there are many other contents that you can listen to because it is an in-house study session, such as introducing techniques such as using Photoshop’s 3D conversion function and utilizing Adobe Substance 3D Painter function.

In the future, young people will be

In the past, long-time employees with a variety of experience and knowledge have taken the podium, but we are considering having younger employees take the stage as well. By giving a presentation in front of a large audience, it is good practice for organizing and outputting one’s thoughts, and it is also an opportunity for other teams to remember one’s name.

Opportunities to exchange information outside of study groups.

Designers are divided into teams for each service, and there are inevitably fewer opportunities to obtain information about services that they are not in charge of.

Incidentally, in addition to the study sessions, there is an in-house event ” Designer Festival,” which is also held by designers on their own initiative. One person from each service team takes the stage and introduces a new gacha, a new feature or UI, or a new project. The atmosphere was even more lively when content that had not yet been announced or was still under development was introduced, and various stamps were exchanged on the slack channel where participants gathered.

Nearly half of Cocone’s employees are designers.
Every month, numerous fashion and interior design items are created, and motions, effects, and new features are introduced to further enhance the items.

We will continue to input our knowledge and know-how to provide services that more customers can enjoy.
