I knew that one of the team members who produced these works was Mr. Tsuchiya, who produced “Dancing Crinoppe.

I did not know Mr. Tsuchiya myself at my previous job, but one of my subordinates at the time worked with him, and hearing about his depth of thought and awareness as a designer, I had always wanted to work with him someday.

When we decided to develop a new star for Pokecolo, a fishing star, I thought it would not be fun to catch ordinary fish. However, when we received the prototype, the number of birds was good, but… they were so energetic that they were completely beyond the screen of the smartphone (laughs). (Laughs.) Usually, design companies design within the limits of the specifications of the product they want to sell or the image they want to project, but for Pokecolo, we were allowed to do as much as we wanted. Our designers were allowed to do as much as they wanted. When we told them to go all out, they ended up going outside of the cell phone’s frame.

Cocone: Many of our in-house designers are fans of both of you. Now that I think about it, I think this kind of thing will help me later on. The workplace where I worked as a new graduate was also a kind of extension of that company. Instead of everyone working together to create, we would fight and win as individuals, and then the subsequent submission work part would be distributed among the team. There were people crying in frustration…

Tsuchiya: When I was in vocational school, everyone was praising each other’s creations. We try to make it possible to try out various themes.

Tsuchiya: It must be fun for the customers to be able to challenge themselves each time, but it also gives the creators many opportunities to present their work and improve their skills.

Cocone: Our first priority is to make something that will please our customers, but we also create times when the designers themselves can challenge themselves. We are happy if customers who were not interested in our products before pay attention to them, and as a result, we are able to meet various needs.

Tsuchiya: You are releasing your first collaborative item with Freaky Design, but are you going to try to create a trend of “Freaky-ness, or rather, “It’s good because it’s Freaky”?

Cocone: Yes, that’s right. First of all, I would like to ask Mr. Freaky to stick to his own taste in design. It’s quite different from the world view of “Pokecolo” so far, it’s sharp. It feels like great art. It is a design that has never been seen before. I hope that the number of fans will increase within Pokecolo for that world.

Tsuchiya: When I am called in to direct, I am often asked to let the fresh air in, so when I went to “Pokecolo” this time with that in mind, I had nothing to say (laughs). (Laughs) Although I was supposed to be supervising, all I could do this time was say, “I like this!

One Night Werewolf” illustrated by Monster Octopus, Halloween ver. and Monster ver.

Cocone: We have about 70 designers in our company, and we want to make everyone’s creativity sharper and more original. It would be great if the customers are happy and the designers themselves are also happy.

Tsuchiya: Cocone people are highly motivated, which in turn inspires us. For example, when we have a meeting, they usually just bring a printout of what they have searched for and say, “Here’s how it should look like,” but Cocone people will find a book on freshwater fish, which is very fanatical, and explain to me emphatically, “The colors of this fish are beautiful. When creating something, it is very important to have a strong feeling of ” this is beautiful. For my part, I think, “You should definitely do this! I think, “You should definitely do this!

Ishizaka:Everyone has confidence and pride in their own thoughts. Isn’t that wonderful? But you never push anyone away. I think that is why “Pokecolo” is filled with kindness and healing.

Interview and writer: YOKO

[124871
post-13084","story","type-story","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","story_cat-design
["GET
