Hello everyone, I’m Haru, a recruitment promotion intern!
The sun has been somewhat pleasant these days, with little sunshine, …… and not so much.
It is a sobering thought that the harsh summer will continue for some time yet, but let’s get through it while staying well hydrated!

Well, this article will be the 17thinterview with Cocone employee~!
For this interview, we spoke with Mr. Okada,a server engineer!

Q1. Please tell us about your work!

Formerly a client engineer, I am now a server engineer and am involved in the development of new services using blockchain technology.
I have been entrusted with the job of section leader of development within the division.

Q2. Why did you join Cocone, Okada-san?

I used to work as an engineer developing office equipment, but I had always been interested in games and movies, and I decided to change jobs because I wanted to work in the entertainment field.

In fact, I had never even heard of the company name ” Cocone until I was introduced to it by a recruitment agent, but I remembered that I had used Cocone’s “Kikikiri Oukoku” English learning application in the past, which was very easy to use, and I decided to take the screening process and join the company.

Q3. You currently have a 4-month-old child. Are there any childcare programs that you are using or considering using at Cocone?

I am considering taking advantage of the “Childcare Free Time System.”
While working remotely, I do take some time to put her to bed and go for walks with her, but I still ask my wife to take care of her during the day more often than not. ……
I think that if I use this system, I will be able to spend more time with my children.

Q4. Please tell us about each of the most rewarding and difficult aspects of your job!

The rewarding part is that, compared to my previous job, I get to hear customer feedback immediately. One of the reasons I thought it would be nice to receive feedback and opinions directly and quickly from customers was because it was one of the reasons I thought about changing careers in the entertainment field, so this is a very exciting part for me.

I also enjoy the fact that we are quite close to the designers and planning staff, and that we can all work together, even if we are from different professions.

The hardest thing is that since design, planning, and development are all done in-house, it is almost impossible to keep up with the speed, and we have to keep taking on new challenges.
When I think about it, it seems that the roots of satisfaction and difficulty are in the same place (laughs).

Q4. Cocone places great importance on “sensitivity”, but what is “sensitivity” to Mr.Okada?

I think it is important whether I enjoy my work or not, and I think this is connected to my sensitivity.
I believe that in trying to create a service that will please our customers, if I do not enjoy creating it, our customers will not enjoy it either.
Fun!” is a measure that varies from person to person. is different for each person, but we would like to create something that will resonate with the “senses” of as many people as possible.

Q6. Please give a message to those who are considering joining your company!

Cocone is characterized by not hesitating to introduce new things, so it is a good company for those who want to “try things out!” I think this is a good company for those who are willing to take on new challenges.

Also, as I mentioned earlier as a rewarding experience, I think it is quite rare to be able to work in close cooperation with people in other professions such as design and planning. If you are interested in such an environment, I highly recommend it.
