Currently, the company offers four types of products: hoodies, T-shirts, tumblers, and stickers.
It is a little unusual to have “departmental” goods instead of “company” goods, isn’t it?
Why did the development department decide to create original goods in the first place?
When I became VPoE last October, Mr. Hongi, the CTO, asked me to brand the development department.
As part of this effort, we created the current development department merchandise in order to further enhance the sense of unity among the members, and to allow them to feel a sense of unity by wearing matching items when speaking at events such as TECH TALK.
We have been receiving more and more requests for them from other departments. We have been receiving an increasing number of “I want one!” requests from other departments, so we have been distributing and selling them not only to the development department but also to the company as a whole since a while ago.

You are currently developing four types of goods. What made you decide on these four?
As for the hoodies and T-shirts, they were made with the original purpose in mind, to be worn together by everyone when speaking at events.
For the tumbler, I chose one that is easy to use for everyday use …… specifically because the Cocone Deli has a free drink policy, so I was hoping that people would use it there.
We also created the stickers in the hope that engineers, who often put stickers and other items on their own laptops, would feel free to use them.
How many employees, both inside and outside the development department, are actually using the goods?
As for the stickers, we do not sell them, but mainly give them out along with the t-shirts to new members of our development department and others, so we do not have a detailed count. ……
So far, about 60 hoodies have been purchased, 40 T-shirts, including those distributed to new employees in the development department when they joined the company, and 30 tumblers.
We are very happy to see that many people are using our T-shirts, including deli members who are also wearing them!
Are there any particular aspects of making goods that you are particularly particular about?
Our primary concern was to create a design that could be used by both men and women on a daily basis.
We are also conscious of incorporating Cocone taste, such as using bright red for logos and other parts.
Certainly, all of the goods have a wonderful monochrome tone & stylish design that would suit any occasion!
By the way, what has been the most popular merchandise so far?
As we mentioned earlier, in terms of numbers, Parker is the best.
However, “Cute!” and we have received many comments that the tumblers are quite persistently popular, especially among people in other departments.

As we make various selections, the most popular item right now is the mouse pad. We are also in the process of considering various ways to renew the …… hoodie so that it is thinner and can be worn during the warmer months.
We are also considering preparing other items such as clear files, badges, pens, notepads, etc. in original tote bags to be given as a set to candidates who come to our office for interviews, etc!
